Toy Dolls are an English punk rock band formed in 1979. While much punk rock is political or angry, Toy Dolls worked within the esthetics of punk to express a sense of fun, with songs such as "Yul Brynner Was A Skinhead", "My Girlfriend's Dad's A Vicar" and "James Bond Lives Down Our Street." There is often alliteration in their song titles (e.g. "Peter Practice's Practice Place", "Fisticuffs in Frederick Street", "Neville is a Nerd").
Their albums usually include a cover version of a well-known hit song

Technically a cover, this song was one of three songs written as a "Teenage Death Boys" back in the early 2000's. It's an attempt at sounding like Black Sails era AFI. It's tongue cheek picking on the clichés but we do enjoy the music.more
A song of adolescence and not knowing any better. Written in 1999, recorded in 2023. This song is a lot more poignant now that we approach middle age than it was when it was written and Viagra was just the Bob Dole buzz word.more
